Experienced, Well-Trained Care Staff
Orchard Court is led by its experienced Manager, Tracy Mussett, who is in charge of a qualified team of Carers and Domestic staff, all of whom are dedicated to carrying out their duties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Tracy joined Orchard Court in 2007 as a Care Assistant, before moving into a Senior Carers role; Tracy became Orchard Court's Manager in October 2012. Tracy likes to Manager the home from her heart and considers all of Orchard Court's residents as members of her extended family. She prides herself as being approachable, caring and understanding, whilst maintaining strong relationships with residents and their families. Tracy and her staff work incredibly hard to provide high quality care, but with a personal touch, and strongly believe that Orchard Court is the resident's home, whilst we (the staff) are visitors.
We regularly invest in training our staff and actively encourage and support QCF qualifications in health and social care, in order to develop them. We don't just aim to achieve the training requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we aim to exceed them.
Varied Ongoing In-House Specialist Training
In addition to our encouragement of continued education, our Care & Training Manager provides all staff with extensive in-house induction training, regular mandatory training, and additional specialist training in many areas. We believe training is fundamental to improving the care provided to all residents.
We are very proud of the long length of service of many of our staff, and this helps us to provide a stable and caring environment for our residents. Our staff also work to provide an extensive and innovative activities programme to encourage residents to get the most possible enjoyment from their time with us.
